Shari’ah Wills Clinic 2017
IPSA presents a FREE Shari’ah Wills Clinic 2017 – ONLY A FEW SPOTS STILL AVAILABLE, Book your spot now!
Narrated by Abdullah bin Umar:
Allah’s Apostle said, “It is not permissible for any Muslim who has something to will to stay for two nights without having his last will and testament written and kept ready with him.”
(Vol 4, Book 51, Number 1)
Have you drafted your last will and testament?
Are you unsure as to how your intestate estate should devolve upon your demise in terms of Islamic law?
Did you know that your estate would devolve in terms of the Intestate Succession Act of 1987 in the event where you pass away without executing a valid will?
This Ramadan International Peace College South Africa (IPSA) will be hosting a Shari’ah Wills Clinic day on 18 June 2017.
The event is intended to assist the Muslim community in understanding the Islamic laws of succession and its application within the South African context.
The Wills Clinic will be run by IPSA graduates and final year students under the supervision of Islamic Studies Department lecturers.
The students would be able to assist the attendees with answering questions they may have concerning the Islamic laws of succession and its application within the South African context.
A basic Shari’ah compliant will can be drafted upon request and at no charge. The wills will be checked by the Shari’ah Department Succession Lecturer for compliance in terms of both Islamic law as well as South African law.
The wills can then be executed by the testator or testatrix upon collection at the IPSA Offices during the following week.
